Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Evelyn Abbott, 80, of Livingston will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 15 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home, Livingston, TN with burial in Good Hope Cemetery, Livingston, TN.  The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5 until 9 p.m.

Mrs. Abbott died October 13, 2005 at Livingston Regional Hospital.  She was born November 22, 1924 in Pickett County to the late Waymon and Minnie Connor Arney.  She was a garment factory worker.

She was a member of Allons Church of Christ.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Joan (& Charles) Smith of Livingston and Betty (& Larry) Fulkerson of Sparta; 3 grandchildren, Crystal Glenn, Jennifer Smith, & Michelle Smith; 2 great-grandchildren, Parker Glenn and Lian Glenn; sister, Grace Reetz of Detroit, MI; and brothers, W. J. Arney of Chicago, IL and Jerry Arney of Port Orange, FL.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Posie Abbott, son: Bruce Abbott, and sisters: Wilma Ledbetter and Martha Arney.
