Funeral Services for Mr. Herbert Eldridge, 86, of Cookeville will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home, Livingston, Tennessee with burial in the Martin Cemetery.
Mr. Eldridge died on December 9, 2001, at the VA Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born on April 7, 1915 in Overton County to the late James and Bertha Martin. He was a farmer.
He attended the Algood Church of Christ and was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Eldridge of Cookeville, sister, Ermine Borden of Cookeville, brother, Harris Eldridge, Sr. of Algood, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ardith & Bob Billingsley of Cookeville, Delton Fletcher of Chattanooga, Lawton Fletcher of Cookeville, Clifton & Mary Fletcher and Leon & Judy Fletcher, all of Algood, nieces & nephews, Gail & Jeff Hunter, Linda & Roy Bridgewater, Jim & Joyce Borden, Tim Eldridge, Chuck Billingsley, Michael Billingsley, and Kevin Fletcher.
