Funeral services for Mr. Havil B. Davis, age 95, of Leroy Township, MI formerly of Overton and Morgan Counties will be conducted at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 3, 2009 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Frank Kirby officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemeterey in Alpine. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m.

Mr. Davis died November 28, 2009 at Heartland Health Care Center in Battle Creek, MI. He was born May 17, 1914 in Overton County to the late Walter S. and Willie Norrod Davis. He was a teacher in the public school system and a farmer.

He was Presbyterian in faith.

He is survived by a daughter, Belinda Sue Davis Ledbetter of Battle Creek, MI; son, Jerry Kendell Davis of Lafayette, IN; 5 grandchildren, David Luther Ledbetter, Brenda Kay Ledbetter Brenner, Trevor Gage Davis, Jared Littleton Davis, & Kendra Rosamond Davis; 12 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, 4 nieces, 2 nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Vonda Jewell Maynard Davis, daughter: Wanda Jeanette Davis, grandson: Michael Howard Ledbetter, & a son-in-law: Roy Howard Ledbetter.
