Funeral services for Mr. John D. Eldridge, age 69, of Rickman will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Rev. Jim Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Eldridge Cemetery in Rickman, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m.
Mr. Eldridge died February 28, 2010 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born February 26, 1941 to the late Claude V. & Lillie Mae Clark Eldridge. He was a truck driver for the Overton County Highway Department.
He attended Rickman United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Eldridge of Rickman; daughters, Mary Ann Eldridge of Cookeville, Beth Eldridge of Cortez, Colorado, and Leann Eldridge of Cortez, Colorado; step-daughters, Sandra Kay Phillips of Rickman and Betty Kay Begley of Crossville; son, David Harris of Cookeville; step-son, Jimmy Harris of the Hanging Limb Community; 5 grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren; sister & brother-in-law, Genevie & Don Poston of Livingston; 2 aunts, Daisy Flemming & Dorothy Neal, both of Rickman; and a host of cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Earl Lee Eldridge, and a sister: Sarah E. Eldridge.
