Funeral services for Mrs. Lela Helen Nichols, age 81, of Monroe will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Bobby Sebastian officiating. Burial will be in the Jim Lottie Smith Cemetery in Monroe, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5 until 9 p.m.

Mrs. Nichols died May 21, 2010 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was born December 23, 1928 in Overton County to the late Troy Allerd and Reba Viola Taylor Smith. She was an auto worker for the Chrysler Corporation.

She was Baptist in faith.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Kathy & Jimmy Dyer of Jackson County, Dim & Dave Biauce of Jackson County, and Karen & Tony Adragna, MI; son, Johnny Phillips of Monroe; sisters, Lola McDonald of Michigan and Carrie Bailey of Minnesota; several grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Reba Jones McDonald, son: Jimmy Phillips, and brothers: Owen & Oren Smith.
