Funeral services for Mrs. Nedra V. Smith Grimes, age 85, of Alpine will be conducted at 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 8, 2010 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. David Beaty and Bro. John Copeland officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery in Alpine, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 4 until 8 p.m.

Mrs. Grimes died December 6, 2010 at Overton County Nursing Home. She was born February 4, 1925 in Overton County to the late Maurice and Jewel Almonrode Smith. She was a secretary for the Livingston Chamber of Commerce.

She was Presbyterian in faith.

She is survived by 4 daughters, Alice & Larry Bailey of Cummings, GA, Linda & Tommy Beam of Lilburn, GA, Bobby Sue & Tommy Knowles of Hampton, GA, and Sharon & Mike Spencer of Griffin, GA; brother, Roger & Anna Smith of Winder, GA; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews & nieces.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband: Ray Grimes
