Funeral services for Mrs. Magnolia Hooten Harris, age 91, of Baton Rouge, LA formerly of Livingston will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2011 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with burial in Overton County Memorial Gardens in Livingston. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5 until 9 p.m.

Mrs. Harris died April 7, 2011 at West Florida Hospital in Pennsacola, FL. She was born November 19, 1919 in Overton County, TN to the late Roy and Effie Mae Swallows Walker. She was a housewife.

She was Baptist in faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Price of Baton Rouge, LA; granddaughters, Donna Hooten of Chattanooga, TN and Wanda Hood of Old Fort, TN; a grandson, Michael Hooten of Sylvester, GA; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dollie Peek of Livingston.

She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband: Wint Hooten, second husband: William Harris, son: Willie Howard Hooten, brothers: Fred, Oscar, & Chief Walker, & sister: Beulah Ledford.

Pallbearers were Wayne Peek, Charles Peek, Rod Johnson, Norman Ledford, David Langford, & Charles Garrett.
