Funeral services for Mrs. Dorene Fikes Carr, age 71, of Livingston will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2012 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Rev. Ken Haney officiating. Burial will be in the Copeland-Carr Cemetery in Livingston. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 4 until 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. Carr died May 4, 2012 at the Cookeville Regional Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born March 29, 1941 in Clay County to the late Robert Malcolm & Versie N. (Holt) Fikes. She was a Homemaker, and a wonderful Christian Lady, Mother & Wife.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy Carr of Livingston; daughters, Lee Brown & husband Billy of Livingston, Tammie Ragsdale & husband Chip of Livingston; sister, Barbara Brown of Nashville; sister-in-laws, Maxine Carr, & Clara Dean Vance; brother-in-law, Earl Carr & wife Agnes; Granddaughter, Amanda Prentice & husband Matt of Whitehouse, Tenn., several Nieces & Nephews, & Special Cousins.
She was preceded in Death by her parents, and brother, Earl Fikes, sister-in-law, Pauline Fikes.
Pallbearers to serve are Chip Ragsdale, Billy Brown, David Dickerson, Gary Langford, Leon Fletcher, Steve Holt, Brent Johnson, & Mike Webb.
