Funeral services for Mr. Louie E. McDonald, age 85, of Monroe will be conducted at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 5, 2012 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Paster Caleb Bowling officiating. Burial will be in Overton County Memorial Gardens in Livingston where there will be a military service provided by the Honor Guard from the James T. Davis Memorial Post 5062 of the VFW in Livingston. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 until 9 p.m.

Mr. McDonald passed away July 2, 2012 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born April 15, 1927 in Overton County to the late Frank & Lola McDonald. He was an electrician.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Ted & Dimple Ledbetter of Livingston; sisters-in-law, Geraldine McDonald of Monroe and Audie Ledbetter of Livingston; and a host of nieces, nephews, & friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife: Hilda McDonald, brother: Clyde McDonald, & sisters: Maurine Roberts and Allie Wright.
