Funeral services for Mr. David Gene Scott, age 47, of Monroe will be conducted at 5 p.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Gary Taylor & Bro. Timmy Ray officiating. Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 4 until 9 p.m.

Mr. Scott passed away on August 12, 2012 at the Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born May 8, 1965 in Overton County to Lola Jerrye Smith Scott, and the late Bobby Gene Scott. He was a factory worker.

He was a member of the Monroe Christian Church.

He is survived by his mother, Lola Scott of Monroe; brothers, Denny Scott & wife, Connie of Allons, Dodd Scott & wife, Jamie of Monroe; sons, Anthony Scott of Pickett Co. and Brian Scott of Davidson Co.; 7 Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, and his grandparents: Alfred & Ethel Scott and Fred & Katie Smith.

Pallbearers to serve will be Josh, Kevin, & Kyle Scott, Pat Warren, & Elijah Scott.
