Funeral services for Miss Hazel Irene Carter, age 84, formerly of the Taylors Crossroads Community will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2016 from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Marlon Winningham officiating. Burial will be in the Richardson Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m.Miss Carter passed from this life on January 28, 2016 at the Overton County Health Rehab Center. Miss Hazel Irene Carter was born on April 24, 1931 in Overton County to the late John Elizabeth Richardson Carter. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a kind, gentle woman with an infectious sense of humor and great love for babies. She was loved deeply, and will be greatly missed.She is survived by a brother, Stanley Geneva Carter of Monroe; sisters, Betty Carter Verble of Algood and Anna Lou Carter Gabbard of Troy, OH along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers sister-in-law: Coy Carter, Jerry Carter, and John Hoy Elsie Smith Carter, sisters brothers-in-law: Floy Carter Harvey Onus Harvey, Henrietta Carter Leske, Marie Carter Sells Milburn Sells, and brother-in-law, Dallas Gabbard.
Stanley and Family We were so saddened to hear of the passing of Irene. She will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched and blessed.
