Speck Funeral Home - Betty Louise Richardson

Funeral Services for Ms. Betty Louise Richardson, age 83, of Cookeville will be conducted on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Stanley Gantt to officiate. Burial to follow in Good Hope Cemetery. Family will welcome friends from 11 a.m. until time of service on Monday, April 1, 2024 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Ms. Betty passed from this life on Saturday Morning, March 30 from NHC Healthcare, Cookeville. She was born in Gainesboro, Tennessee on January 24, 1941 to the late William And Margie Barlow Richardson. Betty was a wonderful cook, and devoted aunt. She loved family more than anything.

Betty leaves behind sister Rene Wilhoit; cousins Randy Barlow and wife Delores and Howard Barlow and wife Healon; special friends Leica and Stanley Gantt and JoAnne and Tommy Randolph; a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents she preceded in death by daughter Kathy Dishman, and sisters Katherine Qualls and Ruth Rhoten.

Pallbearers to serve are Wayne Rhoten, Shelia Bowman, Lisa Malone, Kimberly Mitchell, and Katie Malone.

The family of Ms. Betty Richardson would like to thank NHC Healthcare, Cookeville and Caris Healthcare Hospice, and a special thank you to the nurses Kenzee, Savanah, and Eric that took great care of her.
