Donna Sue Pierce

Funeral services for Mrs. Donna Sue Smith Pierce, age 78 of Monroe, will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2020, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Steven Barlow will officiate. Burial to follow in Beaty Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Pierce passed from this life on Monday afternoon, May 11, 2020, from her residence. She was born in Overton County on April 27, 1942, to the late Richard Landsen and Mary Veatrice Winton Smith. She enjoyed traveling, NASCAR racing, and mowing her yard. She loved to watch UT and Titans football and listening to country music.

Mrs. Donna Sue Pierce leaves behind her loving husband of 50 years Larry Pierce of Monroe; brothers Kendal Smith, Richard Smith and wife Sue, and Larry D. Smith and wife Thelma all of Monroe; sister-in-law Mary Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her brothers Randel Smith and Ronald Smith and sister-in-law Georgia Padgett Smith.

Pallbearers to serve are Ronny Smith, Nathan Smith, Brett Smith, Nicholas Smith, Tyler Smith, and Michael Smith.
