Livingston Funeral Home - Bobbie Jean Norrod Obituary

With love and sadness, we announce the passing of Mrs. Bobbie Jean Norrod, age 78, who peacefully went to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, February 5, 2025, at Overton County Health & Rehab. Bobbie was born on November 13, 1946, in Livingston, Tennessee, to the late Earl Ledbetter and Elvie Hicks Ledbetter.

Bobbie’s life was filled with love for her family, her faith, and the simple joys that made her heart happy. A devoted member of Oakdale Baptist Church, she cherished the fellowship of her church family and found great peace in reading the Bible. Bobbie was a huge fan of Tennessee Football, especially the Titans and UT, but more than anything, her heart belonged to her family. She adored spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she made everyone feel special with her sweet, caring nature.

Bobbie leaves behind her sons, Kenny Norrod and wife Melanie of Livingston, TN, Kevin Norrod and Jennifer Eldridge of Knoxville, TN, and Kyle Norrod and wife Erron of Murfreesboro, TN. She also leaves her son-in-law, Bryant Smith of Byrdstown, TN, and a wonderful group of grandchildren who were her pride and joy: Jacob Norrod and wife Rachael, Jessica Jackson and husband Lee, Brandi Wolfram and husband Jesse, Blake Smith and wife Misty, Colton Norrod and wife Shelby, Colby Norrod, Macie Norrod, Skyler Norrod, Luke Norrod, Ella Norrod, and Oakleigh Norrod. Bobbie’s great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Kenli, Olivia, Charlie, Brooks, Nash, Ace, Spence, Easton, Charlee, Brandon, Lakelyn, Gemma, and Layla, brought her so much happiness. She is also survived by her sisters, Joan Upchurch and husband Ray, and Shelby Huffer, both of Livingston, TN.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy “Shorty” Norrod; her precious daughter, Kim Smith; and her brothers, Billy and Kenneth Ledbetter.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 12:00 noon until the service at 2:00 p.m., at the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Garrett-Norrod Cemetery. Bro. Beau Carr will officiate. The family invites all to come and share in remembering Bobbie’s sweet, caring spirit.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Norrod, Colton Norrod, Colby Norrod, Lee Jackson, Luke Norrod, Blake Smith, and Jesse Wolfram.

Bobbie’s love, kindness, and gentle soul will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. While we will miss her dearly, we take comfort knowing she is at peace, reunited with loved ones, and in the loving arms of our Lord.
