A Celebration of the Beautiful Life of Ms. Cassie Joy Crabtree, age 45, of Livingston, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, in the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home, with Bro. Denton Hummel officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date. The family will lovingly welcome friends for visitation on Saturday morning from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Cassie entered into eternal rest on the evening of Tuesday, January 14, 2025, in Sparta, Tennessee. Born on March 2, 1979, in Livingston, Tennessee, she was the cherished daughter of Billy Randall Crabtree and Cynthia Louise Crabtree McDermott.

Cassie brought light and joy to all who knew her. She had a deep love for animals, especially horses and dogs, and found delight in thrift and yard sales, always treasuring the simple joys of life. Cassie had a special gift for making everyone feel welcome—she never met a stranger and shared kindness wherever she went. Her family was the center of her world, and her love for them was boundless.

She leaves behind her loving mother, Cynthia McDermott and husband Bobby of the Big Springs Community; her devoted father, Billy Randall Crabtree and wife June of Livingston, TN; her beloved siblings, Noah McDermott and wife Hannah of Johnson City, TN, Virginia Marmet and husband Robert of Watertown, NY, Brianna McDermott of Crossville, TN, and Kaycie McDermott of Cookeville, TN. She is also survived by her dear grandmother, Evelyn Crabtree of Hilham, TN, and many adoring nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will always carry her memory in their hearts.

Cassie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Billy Crabtree, Willie Crabtree, and Edith Crabtree.

Though her time here was far too brief, Cassie’s love, laughter, and warmth left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her. She will forever be remembered and cherished by her family and friends.
