Funeral Services for Mrs. Christene Ledbetter, age 80 of Overton County, will be conducted 2 PM Wednesday, October 16th from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home.  Bro. Michael Almonrode will officiate.  Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.  The family will welcome friends on Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of  services at 2 PM.

Mrs. Ledbetter passed from this life on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.  She was born in Ivyton on November 15, 1943, to the late Price and Mae Smith York.  Mrs. Ledbetter loved mowing her yard, checking on cattle in her side by side, and being outside.  She enjoyed spending time with her dog Peanut, reading books, and being with her family.

She leaves behind her siblings Betty Lou Collins of Alpine, David York of Livingston, and Mary York of Livingston; special friends Stephen Carruthers and wife Fay and David DeLoach and wife Dawn; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ledbetter was preceded in death by her husband Clifton Ledbetter, brother Arvil York, sisters-in-law Wilma York and Mildred York, brother-in-law Gerald Collins, and nephew Jeff Collins.

Pallbearers to serve are Dustin Collins, Jake Collins, Johnny York, Lee Swallows, David York, and Jessie Smith.
