Mr. David Charles Dodson, age 42, of Mt. Juliet, TN, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Livingston Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Jeff Monday officiating. Burial will follow at Dodson Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 18, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and again on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

David was born on April 21, 1983, in Cookeville, TN, to Randy and Vickie Brown Dodson. He deeply loved his family and cherished being near them. David had a special bond with his cat, “Ms. Kitty,” and enjoyed playing all types of video games.

He is survived by: Parents: Randy and Vickie Dodson of Livingston, TN Sister: Amanda Masters and husband Chad, of Rickman, TN Nieces: Briley Masters and Hattie Masters Nephew: Rylan Masters Grandfather: Truman Brown, of Allons, TN Aunts and Uncles: Tammy and Michael Hordos, of Rickman, TN Ricky and Paige Dodson, of Rickman, TN Peggy McCollum, of Hixson, TN Cousins: Adam Dodson and wife Sara, Austin Dodson, and Megan Grant and husband Jarrod.

He was preceded in death by his: Paternal grandparents: Dewey and Betty Dodson Maternal grandmother: Reva Brown Uncles: Donnie Brown and Jeff McCollum.

Pallbearers to serve are David Key, Adam Etheredge, Al Shelton, Adam Dodson, Austin Dodson, and Michael Hordos. Honorary Pallbearers are Truman Brown, Chad Masters, Doug Reagan, Greg Hargis, Darren Murphy, Josh Thompson, and Ricky Dodson.  

David will be remembered for his gentle spirit, love for family, and the joy he found in life’s simple pleasures. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
