Livingston Funeral Home - Diann Harvey Obituary

Funeral Services for Mrs. Diann Harvey, age 73, of the Twin Oaks Community will be conducted 12 noon, Monday, February 26, 2024, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home.  Bro. Marlon Winningham, and Bro. Chris Coil will officiate.  Burial to follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens.  The family will welcome friends on Sunday evening, February 25, 2024, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., then on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services from the Livingston Funeral Home.

Mrs. Harvey passed from this life on Thursday evening, February 22, 2024, from the Livingston Regional Medical Center.  She was born at home in the Rushing Springs, Community of Overton County, Tennessee on September 22, 1950, to the late Willie James and Lela Mae Norrod Oakley.  Mrs. Harvey was a 1968 graduate of Rickman High School and a longtime member of the Free Communion Church of Christ.  Diann was a faithful, loving, Christian Lady, wife, mother, and grandmother.  Church was where she dedicated most of her time.  She always made sure her house was spotless at all times.  She loved her family, children, and grandchildren and treated them all as equals.  Diann was a modest lady and true example of the virtuous woman.  She loved the late Pat Summit and the Tennessee Ladies Vols.  Diann enjoyed gardening with her husband and reaping the benefits of that labor.  She was known for her fried apple pies, and cooking brought her great joy.  Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners is what she looked forward to each year, where she would make her special meals.  She met her loving and devoted husband Roger Dee Harvey at the local shirt factory and soon married, then started their legacy together.  Diann was very thankful to her friends and family.  A wonderful lady to all who knew her.

Diann leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Roger Harvey of the Twin Oaks Community; daughter, Cindy Hinson and husband Noah of the Dry Hollow Community; son, Chad Harvey and wife Cynthia of Algood, TN; grandchildren, Levi Worley, Livia Worley, Codi Beth Mitchell and husband Jerry Gale, and Cora Mae Nolen and husband Tanner; unborn great granddaughter, Josie Beth Mitchell; brothers, Hughie Oakley and wife Cathy of the Dry Hollow Community, and Billy Oakley of Cookeville, TN.

In addition to her parents, Diann was preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Lynn Worley, and brother, David Oakley.

Pallbearers to serve are Chad Harvey, Tanner Nolen, Noah Hinson, Jerry Gale Mitchell, Landen Oakley, and Levi Worley.

Memorial Donations in memory of Diann Harvey may be made to the Happy Haven Homes, INC at 2311 Wakefield Drive, Cookeville, TN  38501.
