On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Evelyn peacefully passed away at the Livingston Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 23, 1937, in Clay County, Tennessee, to the late Clarence Waddell and Cora Stover Waddell.

A devout member of the Livingston Church of Christ, Evelyn devoted herself to worship and fellowship with her church family for over 60 years. She was a proud graduate of Livingston Academy, Class of 1955, and cherished the times spent with her classmates at reunions. Evelyn worked for many years in the Livingston Middle School Cafeteria, where her warmth and kindness touched the lives of countless children and faculty members.

Evelyn’s love for her family knew no bounds. She found joy in the simplest things, whether it was swinging on her porch swing, quilting, or sharing the love she had for her children and grandchildren. Her family was the heart of her life.

She leaves behind her beloved son, Michael Sidwell, and his wife Cara of Livingston, TN, and her cherished daughter, Lisa Mullins, and her husband Scott of Livingston, TN. Evelyn was the proud grandmother of Jared Mullins and his wife Cindy, Tara Branham and her husband Jake, Allison Payne, and Joshua Payne and his wife Natasha. She also leaves behind her adored great-grandchildren: Allie Mullins, Tucker, Harper, Bodhi Branham, Ezzy Payne, Julie Payne, Kaillyn Payne, Gabriel Barrera, and Annallya Barrera.

Evelyn was also blessed with loving sisters, Gail Crawford and her husband Tommy of Baxter, TN, and Debbie Stone and her husband Larry of Monroe, TN, along with several nieces, nephews, and a very special friend, Betty Smith.

Evelyn is now reunited with her beloved husband, Buddy Sidwell, her precious son, Marty Sidwell, her dear brother, Carl Lee Waddell, her cherished sister, Edith Martin, and her nephew, Barry Martin, who welcomed her into eternal peace.

Her family and friends will always carry with them the memory of Evelyn’s love, grace, and unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Pallbearers to honor and carry her to her final rest will be Ricky Waddell, Jared Mullins, Matthew Crawford, Josh Sidwell, Josh Payne, and Jake Branham.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Livingston Church of Christ, a place that was near and dear to Evelyn’s heart.
