Funeral services for Mrs. Geneva Helen Taylor will be conducted 3 pm Wednesday, August 5th, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Nolan Cantrell and Bro. Rex Harris will officiate. Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 pm and again on Wednesday from 12 noon until time of services at 3 pm at Livingston Funeral Home.
Geneva Helen Taylor, 97, of the Dry Hollow Community of Overton County, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 1st, at Heritage Pointe Senior Living. She was born near Blytheville, Arkansas, on January 14, 1923, to parents Mark K. Skelton and Dora Lucy Skelton. Geneva was a Christian and a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She loved her family, fishing, church, and gardening. She also loved teaching children in Sunday School and being the "candy lady" at church. She was the best mother anyone could have to the very end of her days.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 14 brothers and sisters, husband of 53 years Dow R. Thompson, and second husband Wayne Taylor.
Survived by daughters Marilyn Thorne (Lanier) of Bartlett, TN and Rebecca Thompson (Randall Boswell) of the Dry Hollow Community of Overton County, grandchildren: Keith Worsham (Shandy) of Norwich, Kansas, Shea Worsham Bergfield (Lee) of Memphis, TN, Rhonda Thorne of Memphis, TN, Kay Thorne Conlee (Dwayne) of Bartlett, TN, Mark Vaughn of Daytona Beach, FL, and Chase Boswell (Rebecca) of the Dry Hollow Community of Overton County, and 8 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers to serve are Keith Worsham, Chase Boswell, Daniel Sells, James Smith, Randall Dial, and W.J. Staggs.
