Livingston Funeral Home - James Hancock

Celebration of Life Services for Mr. James Marshall Hancock, age 71, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Monday, May 23, 2022, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home.  Bro. Cleston Ledbetter will officiate.  Burial will be in the Hancock Cemetery at a later date.  The family will welcome friends on Monday morning from 12 noon until time of services, from the Livingston Funeral Home.

James passed from this life on Friday morning, May 13, 2022, from the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.  He was born at home in Monroe, Tennessee on September 25, 1950, to the late Walter and Veachel Beaty Hancock.  James was a family man who would do anything for them.  He enjoyed fishing at any given time and listening to Bob Seger.  He had a sweet tooth for Banana pudding and blackberry cobbler.  James also enjoyed keeping up with the day to day local and worldly news.

James leaves behind his daughter, Sydney Hancock of Clarkrange, TN; sons, Scott Hancock and wife Chasity of Monroe, TN, and Nathan Hancock of Livingston, TN; 7 grandchildren; brother, Larry Hancock and wife Anita of Alpine, TN; sisters, Betty Hancock and special friend Robert Huddleston of Byrdstown, TN, and Sue Looper of Monroe, TN.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald and Gene Hancock; sisters, Faye Swallows, and Coleen Langford.
