Funeral Services for Mr. Lester Glen Tharp, age 67, of Hilham, Tennessee will be conducted 1 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2024, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home.  Bro. Eric Dillon will officiate.  Burial to follow in the Maxwell Chapel Cemetery, with Military Honors provided at graveside by the Overton County Veterans Honor Guard.  The family will welcome friends on Friday evening from 5 until 9 p.m., then on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services at the Livingston Funeral Home.

Lester Glen Tharp passed away peacefully at his home on October 23,2024, surrounded by his family.  He was born in Overton County, Tennessee on April 24, 1957, to the late William Dolphus and Beulah V. Johnson Tharp.  Lester was a cabinet builder for over 25 years.  He was a US Army Veteran.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trading knives, and guns.  He truly enjoyed the outdoors and telling Tall Tales.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Lester leaves behind his son, Tony Tharp of Hilham, TN; brother, Mike Tharp and wife Barbara of Hilham, TN; sister, Lisa Moss and husband Joe of Celina, TN; sister-in-law, Carol Tharp of Kentucky; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Lester was preceded in death by his brothers, Tommy Tharp, Bill Tharp, Dennis Tharp and Perry Tharp, sisters, Janice Tharp, Judy Tharp, and Kathy Webb.

Pallbearers to serve are Mike Tharp, Charles Vaughn, Chris Huddleston, Joe Moss, Potter Riley, and Austin Riley.

Honorary Pallbearers are Michael Tharp, and Brent Young.
