Funeral Services for Ms. Lily Mae Pennington, age 85 of Rickman, will be conducted 12 noon Monday, September 9th from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home.  Nick Shelton, Grant Pennington, and Troy Pennington will officiate.  Burial will be in Eckels Cemetery.  The family will welcome friends on Sunday evening from 5 until 8 PM and again on Monday morning from 9 AM until the time of services at 12 noon from Livingston Funeral Home.

Ms. Pennington passed from this life on Friday afternoon, September 6, 2024, from the Overton County Health and Rehab Center.  She was born in Overton County on June 1, 1939, to the late Elliot "Tick" and Myrtle Brown McDonald.  Lily loved her grandbabies and great grandbabies.  She always enjoyed Christmas decorating, roses, and a fresh cup of coffee.  Most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior.  She was a member of Living Hope Church.

Ms. Pennington leaves behind her son Grant Pennington and wife Carol of Livingston; grandchildren Troy Pennington and wife Lacey of Highland Mountain and Tiffany Shelton and husband Nick of Allons; great grandchildren Ben Shelton, Nolen Pennington, and Samuel Pennington; sisters Betty Abbott of Livingston, Joyce Bilbrey of Hermitage Springs, Diane Worley of Livingston, Jo Ann Greenwood of Livingston, and Patricia Gore and husband Tommy of Livingston; and brother Danny McDonald and wife Kathy of Allons.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Pennington was preceded in death by her brothers Cecil McDonald and Gary McDonald and sister Edith Murphy.

Pallbearers to serve are Bryant McDonald, Jeff McDonald, Michael McDonald, Ronnie Smith, Jamie Greenwood, Nolen Pennington, Samuel Pennington, and Ben Shelton.
