Mrs. Lola Geraldine Smith Scott, also known as Jerrye, went to meet Jesus from the Cookeville Regional Medical Center on June 3rd, 2026. Jerrye loved her family and her Lord and tried each day to show that love.

Funeral services will be held on Friday June 5th at 11 AM from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Friends may call on the family on Thursday June 4th from 5-9 PM at Livingston Funeral Home and then on Friday from 9-11 AM. Burial will be in the Overton Memorial Gardens following the funeral. Brother Shane Nelson will be bringing the funeral message. Pallbearers honored to serve include; Mark Carmack, Jeff Tank Long, Kevin Scott, Kyle Scott, Elijah Scott and Johnny York.

Jerrye is survived by her sons; Denny (Connie) Scott and Dodd (Jamie) Scott, Grandchildren; Kevin (Ellie) Scott, Josh Scott, Kyle Scott, Kenzi Scott, Kaylah Scott, Kiera Scott, and Elijah Scott. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and a multitude of other family members.

Jerrye was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Katie Garrett Smith, her husband Bobby Scott, her precious son David Scott, and her sister Frances Sherrill.

Jerrye loved the Lord and took to heart the "Love Thy Neighbor" commandment. To Jerrye this was an important part of her life. She would cook if you needed something to eat, she would laugh if you needed a pick me up, she would hug you if you felt unloved, and she would extend her hand if you were down. Jerrye enjoyed putting together Jigsaw puzzles with her family and doing sudoku problems to keep her mind sharp. She worked for many years as a payroll clerk at Berkline Furniture MFG as numbers were her "thing". Jerrye went out of her way to see that others were cared for. Her family will miss her greatly but are taking comfort that she is in the presence of Jesus today.
