Lola Irene Smith, age 72, of Overton County, passed away peacefully at her residence on September 17, 2025.

Lola was born on June 28, 1953, to the late Herman and Stella Copeland. She was a beloved member of her community, known for her kind heart, quiet strength, and generous spirit.

Lola loved life’s simplest pleasures. She found joy in bird watching, listening to the sounds of nature, and spending peaceful moments outdoors. She was also an avid NASCAR fan, never missing a race and always cheering for her favorite drivers.

Lola is survived by her daughter Melanie Ann Breeding Crabtree, special son Jeffery Cole, grandchildren; Evana, Mitchell, and Jake Copeland, and siblings; Joe Copeland, Dorotha Carr, Linda Howell and Allon Copeland and step grandchildren Cynthia Addison, Medoly Lancaster and William Smith. Daughter in law Amanda Copeland 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Bobby Gene Smith Sr.; her son, Christopher Copeland; stepchildren, Bobby Smith Jr., Ann Connor, and Treresa Abbott; and siblings, Agnes Vaughn, Howard Copeland, James Copeland, and Shirley Copeland.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 21st at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. John Robbins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hatcher Hall Cemetery. The family will welcome friends for visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.

Lola will be missed by her family and friends and everyone who loved her.
