Mr. Orley passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday evening, September 14, 2021 from his home in the Spring Creek Community.  He was born at his families farm on the banks of Hurricane and Spring Creek on September 4, 1934 to the late Mitchell and Ada Hancock Shaver.  He was a member of the Douglas Chapel Church, just up the road from his home place, where he attended school.  He then attended Rickman High School graduating in 1954.  Orley then enlisted with several of his High School buddies in the Untied States Air Force where he spent the next 26 years serving for his country, retiring from Air Force in 1980.  They Settled in Warner Robins, GA and began 16 years of civilian work at Robins AFB. He met the love of his life while stationed in Albuquerque, NM Ms. Diana Joyce Lambert, she would be his rock for 61 years.  Orleys' hard work and dedication to his country would turn out two more majors in his family, his son and grandson. A member of the Masonic Lodge, he lived and breathed hunting and fishing, and this is exactly what he did up till his health started failing.  Orley also enjoyed collecting antiques, and pocket watches, where he would trade with his friends and family.  Orley spent several years along with the help of his niece Wilma Shaver Collins, researching and publishing the Shaver Genealogy.  He  was heavily involved in the Rickman High School Annual Alumni Reunion where He and Diana spent hours planning for each years celebration.  His greatest joy was traveling with his loving wife anywhere she wanted to go.
