Graveside services for Mrs. Mascle Guffey Phillips, 87, of the Aarons Chapel Community, will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Aarons Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Ronnie McCowan will officiate the service. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Tuesday evening, November 26, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Livingston Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Mascle Phillips entered eternal rest on Sunday morning, November 24, 2024, at the Overton County Health & Rehab. She was born on May 14, 1937, at her family home in the Vines Ridge Community of Overton County, Tennessee, to the late William Nelson Guffey and Fannie Lee Copeland.

A devoted educator, Mascle earned her Master's Degree in Education from Tennessee Tech University and dedicated nearly 30 years of her life to teaching at Hardy's Chapel and Hilham Elementary. She left a lasting legacy of learning and inspiration for the many young lives she touched.

A faithful member of Aarons Chapel Church, Mascle cherished singing hymns that brought her closer to God. Her life was a reflection of her faith, as she shared her talents and passions with others. She was gifted in the art of crochet and quilting and found great joy in the simple pleasure of reading.

Mascle was a loving and devoted matriarch. She is survived by her beloved family:

Sons: Willie B. Phillips, Jr. (wife, Lana), Billy Phillips (wife, Lesa), and Donnie Phillips (wife, Kathy), all of Hilham, TN.

Grandchildren: Courtney King (husband, James), Charity Phillips, Ethan Phillips, Roxanne Sidwell, Brittany Haggard (husband, Matt), Felicia Phillips, Brandy Warren (husband, Cody), and Logan Beaty (wife, Chelsea).

Great-Grandchildren: Katelyn King, Lenae Myers, Millie Jo Haggard, Brailey Haggard, Kayson Phillips, Azrael Linder, Nora Beaty, Bo Beaty, and Livvy Beaty.

Sister: Mable Newberry (husband, Earl) of the Vines Ridge Community.  She also leaves behind several cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever hold her memory dear.

Mascle was preceded in death by her loving husband, Willie B. Phillips, Sr., her parents, and her siblings Noel, Delmer, and Elmer Guffey, and Myrtle Wilson.

Pallbearers to serve will be Matt Haggard, Logan Beaty, Azreal Linder, Cody Warren, Ethan Phillips, and James Kings.

Mascle Guffey Phillips lived a life full of love, purpose, and faith. Her enduring legacy as a devoted wife, nurturing mother, cherished grandmother, and faithful servant of God will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
