Livingston Funeral Home- Nay Dean Reeder Obituary

It is with heartfelt sorrow and deep reverence that we announce the passing of Mrs. Nay Dean Reeder, age 68, of Livingston, Tennessee, who entered into the arms of her Lord on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Livingston Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Donnie Bull will officiate, and burial will follow in the Fellowship Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, April 2, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Nay Dean was born on February 16, 1957, in Crossville, Tennessee, to the late Haskell and Nell Dean Boles Cox. She was a devoted servant of the Lord and a lifelong member of the Turkey Town Holiness Church. Her love for Jesus was evident in all she did. Nay Dean was known for her joyful spirit, and her voice often lifted in praise as she sang gospel songs, whether at home, in the yard, or during worship at church. She truly loved being in the house of the Lord, and her heart was full of faith, love, and grace.

Family was at the center of Nay Dean’s life. She loved with an unwavering, selfless devotion and found her greatest joy in her loved ones. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Bobby Reeder, with whom she shared many years of love and companionship. She also leaves her two beloved daughters, Carla Reeder of Madison, AL, and April Reeder of Livingston, TN, who were her pride and joy. Her heart was full as she adored her grandchildren, Jacob and Ethan Morgan, and Jase Tate. Her sister, Wanda Astero of Hawaii, also holds a special place in her heart.

In addition to her parents, Nay Dean was reunited with her precious son, James Reeder, in heaven. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Estel and Russel Cox, and her sister, Vivian Martin. While her family grieves her earthly absence, they are comforted in the knowledge that she is with her Savior, resting in eternal peace.

Nay Dean's legacy of faith, love, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a woman who exemplified the love of Christ in every aspect of her life. We take comfort in knowing that, as she has left this world, she now stands in the presence of the Lord she faithfully served.

Pallbearers who will honor her memory include Matt Brown, Ethan Morgan, Scottie Mabe, Jacob Morgan, Chris Mabe, and Terry Coleman.
