Livingston Funeral Home-Patsy Ann Dishman-Adams Obituary
Patsy Ann Dishman-Adams passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025 at her home in Livingston, Tennessee.
Patsy Ann was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on February 8, 1957 to the late Gib Dishman and Audie Bilbrey Endsley. A 1975 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, she went on to Tennessee Tech University and earned two Bachelor’s degrees, one in Education (1979), the second in Library Science (1982) with ongoing certifications for teaching.
She devoted her life to teaching and caring for the kids at her child care, Patsy Ann’s Child Care. Although her slogan was “Children are my business”, it was clear to the families she cared for that they were so much more than business. She touched hundreds of lives with her kindness, love, and caring and kept in touch with many of the children and families she cared for, sharing in lifelong family memories such as graduations and weddings.
In addition to her passion for teaching and children, Patsy Ann was a long-term member of the Waypoint Livingston Church and a beloved member of her church community. Patsy loved family events and enjoyed giving gifts to nieces and nephews on each occasion. She also enjoyed her Saturday shopping trips to socialize.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband Jackie, her mom and dad, her sisters Blenda “Mendy” Trevino and Carlene McBride, and her brother Ricky Dishman.
She is survived by her sister Jeannie ( Brian) Kellogg, brother Leonard Dishman , several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, and her close friend and handyman, Andy Wilkins.
Funeral services for Patsy Ann will be conducted Sunday, February 9 at 2:00 at the Chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will take place on Tuesday, February 11 at 2 p.m. at Carter Bilbrey Cemetery Donations may be made to Waypoint Church in Livingston.
