Livingston Funeral Home - Roger D. Wright Obituary
We are heartbroken to announce the death of Roger D. Wright (AKA) PA, age 71 of the Bolestown Community in Alpine, Tennessee. Roger passed away peacefully the morning of December 7, 2022 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Roger was born on February 13, 1951 to the late Orbit and Ethel Wright in Jamestown, TN. Roger grew up around Jamestown and after graduation married his wife of 50 years Wanda Gail (Garrett) Wright and had four sons. Roger was better known for his work as a school bus driver in Overton County for many years. Roger enjoyed time with his family telling old stories, spoiling his grandkids and writing books. Roger was the best Dad and Grandpa. He will be missed by many.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Jennings Funeral Homes Chapel in Jamestown. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 137. Burial will follow in the Wright Family Cemetery in Alpine.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Livingston Funeral Home in Livingston.
The family will also receive friends on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Jennings Funeral Home in Jamestown.
