Livingston Funeral Home - Sharon Ann Allen Obituary
Sharon Ann Allen, 85, of Hardy's Chapel, passed away Monday October 20th, 2025, from the Overton County Health & Rehabilitation Center in Livingston after a brief illness. Born on October 5th 1940 in Jackson County to Samuel Escue and Louvada Loftis Allen, Sharon was raised in the Poplar Springs community and attended Poplar Springs Church. Being born without the gift hearing did not slow down or dampen the spirits of Sharon. She was usually quick to smile, ready to laugh, and always up for a good time.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday October 22nd, 2025, from the Poplar Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Livingston Funeral Home at 11:30 until 1:30 when the processional will leave for Poplar Springs. Brother John Cahill will preside over the service.
Survived by her niece Sherry Allen Webb (sp. Garry) of Hardy's Chapel, nephew Steve Stone (sp. Gale) of Hardy's Chapel, niece Billie Ann Gill (sp. Daniel) of Florida, niece Pat Hunt Burrows (sp. Gordon) of Illinois, very special friend Diane Randolph, and many great nieces, nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Phyllis Jean hunt, brother Joe Glen Allen, sister-in-law Helen Bunch Allen, and niece Pamela Hunt Kaskeski of Delaware.
Sharon loved her family and friends very much. She knew there was special bond when it came to family relationships. Growing up on a farm, Sharon was introduced to hard work at an early age but seldom complained. She loved to laugh and to make people laugh. She was living proof that laughter is the best medicine. When WWE wrestling was on you could usually catch her in front of the TV cheering, booing, and being amazed at the spectacle the athletes were putting on.
Sharon's laughter, sense of humor, and especially her love, are qualities that all of her family will miss. Now that she is in heaven with her hearing restored, we can only imagine the fun she is having.
