Livingston Funeral Home - Steve Lee Rector

Funeral Services for Mr. Steve Lee Rector, age 68, of Cookeville, will be conducted 2 p.m., Monday, September 4, 2023, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Roger Phillips will officiate. Burial to follow in the John L. Clark Cemetery. The family will welcome friends Monday, September 4, 2023 from 11 a.m. until time of service. 

Steve passed away from this life at Cookeville Regional Medical Center on Friday, September 1, 2023.  He was born on July 12, 1955, to the late Arthur and Ruby Brady Rector. He enjoyed playing his guitar and fishing. He loved his family especially his grandkids. 

Mr. Steve is survived by daughter Melissa Copeland and husband Matt of Cookeville, TN; son Steven Rector and wife Belinda of Anchorage, AK; grandchildren Taylor Rector, Logan Rector, Meghan Rector, and Brody Copeland; great-grandchild Paisley Rector; brother Timmy Rector of Cookeville, TN; sister Debbie Scantland of Cookeville, TN; and several niece and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his wife Patsy Gail Rector, brother Danny Rector, and sister Katherine Rector.

Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Copeland, Meghan Rector, Taylor Rector, Logan Rector, Shuan Scantland, and Thomas Rector.

Honorary pallbearers are Louis Rector and Brody Copeland.
