It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thelma V. Breeding, who left us on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Overton County Health and Rehab. She was 90 years old.

Thelma was born on January 29, 1935, to the late Edgar and Ora Huckeby in Pickett County, TN. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and her kindness and joy for life touched the hearts of all who knew her. Thelma found true happiness in spending time with her family, enjoying their gatherings, and sharing meals she lovingly prepared. She also took pleasure in attending church, playing bingo, and cherishing the simple joys of life.

She is survived by her children: Timmy Breeding and wife Tammy of Monroe, TN; Gregory Breeding of Celina, TN; Bobby Breeding of Livingston, TN; Shirley Jean Bullock of Rickman, TN; Stacy Long and husband Jeff of Monroe, TN; Patti Bunger and husband Dallas of Livingston, TN; and Meria Staggs of Rickman, TN. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Lorene Berry of IL; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who held her dear.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Carlos Breeding; sons Lonnie Breeding, Michael Breeding, and Jackie Breeding; and sisters Adalene Choate, Annalois Lee, Doris Clenney, and Peggy Smith.

Funeral services for Thelma will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Livingston Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Booher Cemetery. Bro. Dennie Bullock will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Long, Dallas Bunger, Josh Breeding, Brandon Colson, Kasey Beason, and Paxton Long.

Thelma’s spirit will continue to live on in the love she shared with her family, and she will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory be a blessing to all who loved her.
