Funeral Services for Mrs. Alva Dean Seber, age 89, of Allons will be conducted 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from Free Communion Church of Christ.  Bro. Marlon Winningham will officiate.  Burial to follow in the Martin Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Monday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home and then on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of service at Free Communion Church of Christ.

Mrs. Alva Dean passed peacefully from this life from Overton County Health and Rehab on Saturday morning August 3, 2024.  She was born in Ozone, Tennessee on November 22, 1934, to the late David and Nanny Hensley Richardson. Alva Dean was a devoted member of Free Communion Church of Christ. She read her Bible every day. She enjoyed reading, crossword, and word search. She was a phenomenal singer and Rook player. She enjoyed seeing the world on her 36 cruises during her lifetime. Her family described her as an independent woman, and one of a kind.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Alva Dean leaves behind her loving husband of 36 years, Steve Seber of Allons, TN; children Linda Jane Watson and husband Everett of Anderson, IN, Rhonda Bilbrey and husband Keith of Rickman, TN, David Wayne Reeder of Livingston, TN, and Ruth Wilson and husband Donald of Monroe, TN; grandchildren Melanie Beach and husband David of Anderson, IN, Rebecca Cruise and husband Jason of Hendersonville, TN, Andrew Looper and wife Ashley of Allons, TN, Christina Fisher of Celina, TN, and James Wilson and wife Cassie of Monroe, TN; great-grandchildren Dalanie Beach (Frenci), Myranda Chrysalis (Corey), Devin Beach (Makenzie), Makenna Beach, Damaris Beach, Victor Cruise, Madeline Cruise, Lane Bean, Matthew Looper, Kaitlyn Looper, MayKayla Reeder Andrews, Bridgette Fisher, and Joel Wilson; great-great-grandchildren Sophia Beach, Lakyn Rose, and Delilah Beach; and a host of nieces and nephews, and dear family friends.

In addition to her parents, Alva Dean was preceded in death by her first husband James B. Reeder, and siblings Louella Huckeby, Henry E. Richardson, Arlie Richardson, Carlie Richardson, Elva Joynes, and Opal Brown. 

Pallbearers to serve are David King, Andrew Looper, James Wilson, Everett Watson, Jason Cruise, and Frankie Beason.
