Mrs. Anna Ruth Dale, age 92, of Hilham, TN passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 from the Cottages at the Overton County Health and Rehab Center. Graveside service services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Ruth was born on February 15, 1934, in Jackson County, TN to the late  George and  Bessie Jones Raines. She lived most of her life in Hilham with her late husband, Bobby, where she owned and operated a beauty salon for many years. She loved to travel and was a proud member of the Red Hat Society. She and her husband, Bobby, were members of the Hilham church of Christ for many years.  Above all, she cherished her family and the time she spent with them.

Ruth is survived by her daughter Michelle Lynn Poston and her husband Tommy; grandchildren Megan Sanders and her husband Casey, Candice Henslee and her husband Michael, and Haley Poston; great-grandchildren Roscoe, Ruby, Lenore, and Palmer; brother Milton Raines and his wife Loretta; and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Dale, brother Larry Raines, and sisters Verda Gipson and Sibyl Hooten.

The family would like to add a special thanks to everyone that helped and assisted Ruth and Bobby throughout the years.
