Arie Ondine Parker Smith, age 2, of Rickman, Tennessee, passed away on November 18, 2025. Born on March 24, 2023, to Justin Smith and Aja Cook, Arie was a bright light to his family and a very loving child who brought joy to everyone around him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Life Church in Livingston, Tennessee, with Bro. Darrek Copeland officiating. Burial will follow in Ondine Memorial Cemetery located at 950 Rickman Monterey Hwy, Rickman, TN. Visitation will be on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Arie was a free-spirited, fearless wild child who loved everyone he met. He lived with boundless curiosity—running, climbing, and exploring without hesitation. He was happiest outside, climbing trees and ladders, watching his dad work, and riding in his daddy’s truck, urging him to go “fast” with a grin that could melt any heart.

He loved his cheese balls, ice cream, and peanut butter M&M’s, often smiling wide with a mouth full of cheese. His laughter—especially his playful, mischievous “evil” laugh—brought endless joy to those around him. Arie cherished his Hot Wheels cars and never missed a chance to steal someone’s tea or Coke the moment they turned their back.

He pointed at things just like his mama, eager to share the world as he saw it. And though he didn’t like wearing clothes, he loved being wrapped up snugly in a soft blanket by her, content and warm. Arie was truly a beautiful child, with a smile, spirit, and energy that lit up the world around him.

Arie is survived by his parents, Justin Smith and Aja Cook of Rickman, TN; siblings Forrest Jeremiah Smith, Addesin James Smith, Woods Savage Walker, Elias Jones Smith, and Viola Rose Smith; grandparents Dawn and Kelly Savage of Livingston, TN, Cybil Auberson and fiancé Gary Craig Jr. of Livingston, TN, and Jeff Auberson and fiancé Donna Smith of Livingston, TN; great-grandparents Georgea Savage of  Livingston, TN, Linda McLam of Livingston, TN, Edward Phetteplace and Joanne of Franklinville, NY, Michelle and Edward Beniak of Trophy Club, TX, and James and Trina Smith of Livingston, TN; aunts and uncles Evan Savage, Carson Savage, Taymen Savage, Legacy Savage, Paige Jones and husband Raymond, Madison Dazley and husband Keith, Makenzee Auberson, and Peyton Auberson; cousin Lorelii Stallings; and his favorite person, Shawna “Nana” Baker of Rickman.

Arie was proceeded in death by his grandfather David Cook, Great Grandfather Jimmy Savage, Great-Great-Grandmother Leona Rose Grap. 

Arie’s memory will forever live in the hearts of his family and friends, and the joy he brought will never be forgotten.
