Speck Funeral Home - Bennie Layton Cravens

Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Bennie Layton Cravens, age 73 of Livingston, will be conducted 7 PM Thursday, September 23rd, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston.  Bro. Mark Neely will officiate.  The family will welcome friends on Thursday from 5 PM until the time of services at 7 PM.

Bennie passed from this life on Sunday evening, September 19, 2021, from Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville.  He was born Overton County on June 8, 1948, to the late Benny Carlos Haywood and Mary Elizabeth Gore Cravens.  Bennie loved the outdoors and riding around on backroads.  He always enjoyed to travel and loved fast cars.

Bennie leaves behind his nephews Randy Shewmake of Livingston and Mark Shewmake of Pendleton, IN; cousins Glen Ford and wife Mandy of Hilham, Vickie Garrett and husband Butch of Hilham, Patty Smith and husband Rick of Monroe, and Tony Ford and wife Michele of Monroe; and brother-in-law Jerry Murphy.

In addition to his parents, Bennie was preceded in death by his sister Janetta Murphy.
