Graveside services for Mrs. Betty Sue Poston-Stone, age 81, of Williamson County, Tennessee, and formerly of the close-knit Okolona Community, will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Okolona Cemetery. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather at the graveside to celebrate her life.

Betty passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Mulberry Health & Rehab in Franklin, surrounded by love and gentle care.

Born with a kind heart and a love for simple joys, on August 23, 1943, in Overton County, Tennessee to the late Lee and Virgie Matthews Poston.  Betty was a proud 1961 graduate of Algood High School. She had a natural talent for gardening, and nothing brought her more happiness than planting flowers and trees all around her home. Her yard was her canvas, full of color, life, and love.

Betty's greatest treasures were her family. She leaves behind her devoted son, Tim Stone, and his loving wife Leann of Murfreesboro, TN; and her beloved grandson, Matthew Newman, who brought her endless pride and joy.

In addition to her parents, Betty was welcomed into Heaven by several cherished siblings who went before her.

Betty will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love of nature, and the way she made a house feel like home—with blooming flowers, open arms, and a heart full of kindness.
