Funeral services for Mr. Billy Joe Dishman, age 64, of Livingston, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Bobby Gore will officiate. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, January 13, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home.

Mr. Dishman passed from this life on Saturday evening, January 10, 2026, at the comfort of his home.

He was born in Livingston at the old Lady Ann Hospital on October 2, 1961, to the late Oscar and Carrie Hammock Dishman.

Billy was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of Christ. He enjoyed deer hunting and raising Rhode Island Red chickens, along with some game chickens. In his younger years, he loved talking with his buddies on his CB radio, where his handle was “Chicken Monster.” He also enjoyed watching westerns on television, especially Gunsmoke. His family and grandchildren were the true joy of his life.

He leaves behind his loving and dedicated wife of 44 years, Mrs. Deltina Gilpatrick Dishman of Livingston; daughter, Amanda Porter of Livingston, Tennessee; son, Jason Dishman and wife Tosha of Livingston, Tennessee; grandchildren, MaKella Dishman, Hailey Porter, Hunter Porter, and Autumn Porter; and brother, Shorty Dishman and wife Tina of Livingston.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his grandson, Colton Dishman; sister, Irene Staggs; and brothers, J.C. Dishman and Johnny Dishman.
