Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Billy R. Nolen age 83, of the Twin Oaks Community will be held 1 PM Saturday, November 6th from Good Hope Cemetery. Memorial Donations in memory of Billy Nolen may be made to the Good Hope Annex, by contacting Speck Funeral Home.

Mr. Billy Nolen passed from this life on Saturday evening, January 16, 2021 from the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.  He was born in Overton County, Tennessee on October 12, 1937 to the late Francis Marion and Mae Bilbrey Nolen.  After graduation from Livingston Academy, he joined the US Air Force.  Upon discharge from the military, he became a TN Highway Patrolman.  Later in life he was a merchant and field office manager for a construction company.  After retirement, Billy enjoyed gardening and cooking.  He was especially known for his fried apple pies and dried-apple stack fruit cakes.

Billy leaves behind his twin sister, Betty Nolen Copeland of Cookeville, TN, and sister Katy Nolen Vaughn of Livingston, TN; a plethora of nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his sisters, Vesta Nolen, Jean Reagan, Roberta Smith, Opal Walker, and Hazel Whitaker; brothers, Denver, Haskell, and Wilbur Nolen.
