Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Robert Augustus Townsend, Jr. age 84, of Cookeville, Tennessee will be conducted 1 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2024, from the Livingston First Assembly of God.  Bro. Jerry Buck will officiate.  The family will welcome friends at the time of services, with Military Honors provided at the service by the Overton County Veterans Honor Guard.

Bob passed from this life on July 16, 2024, in Rutherford, Tennessee.  He was born in Glendale, California on March 3, 1940, to the late Robert Townsend, Sr. and Bonita Miller Townsend.  Bob was a 1958 Graduate of Glendale High and served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam.  He had many hobbies from cars, motorcycles, welding, and deep-sea fishing.  He was a member of the Livingston First Assembly of God.

Bob leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Mrs. Lavada Marley Townsend of Cookeville, TN; daughters, Loretta Steiner of Portland, OR, and Cheryl Brown of Cookeville, TN; son, Dewayne Davis and wife Arleen of Missoula, MT 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Carlson.
