The family mourns the passing of Bonnie Spears Cottingham, who passed peacefully from this life in the comfort of her home in Sacramento, California, on June 25, 2023.  She was born on June 17, 1940, to the late A.B. and Ethel Smith Spears.  

Bonnie served as a flight attendant, and upon retirement from the airline, she was employed by a private family enterprise as a personal and financial assistant.  While she traveled extensively, her most treasured travels were back to her home state of Tennessee for family visits.  She also enjoyed visiting with former Livingston Academy basketball teammates.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Tony Cottingham of Sacramento, CA; sisters, Betty Smith of Georgia, Faye Conatser of Indiana, Sherry Webb and husband Gary of Livingston, TN, Terri Taylor and husband Keith of Cookeville, TN and Kim Spears of Utah; brothers, Larry Spears, Steve Spears ,and Mike Spears all of Monroe, TN, and Denny Spears and wife Carol of Allons, TN; also several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Spears and Gary Spears

Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Bonnie Spears Cottingham will be held at a later date.
