Speck Funeral Home - Carolyn L. Meadows

Funeral Services for Mrs. Carolyn L. Young Meadows, age 63, of Monroe will be conducted 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 9, 2022, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.  Bro. Eric Dillon will officiate.  Burial to follow in the Coffee Cemetery.  The family will welcome friends on Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m.

Mrs. Carolyn passed from this life on Saturday morning, August 6, 2022, from the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.  She was born in Livingston, Tennessee on April 27, 1959, to the late Cecil and Ester Coffee Young.  She was a member of the Bethsadia Christian Church, where she enjoyed playing the piano. She was a 1977 graduate of Livingston Academy.  Carolyn loved her family very much and took pride in her work.  Her favorite time of year was Christmas.  She also enjoyed going to the 127-yard sale, going to auctions, and growing many beautiful flowers in her yard.

Carolyn leaves behind her devoted husband of 37 years, Rod Meadows of Monroe, TN; daughter, Rachael Ryglewski and husband David of Livingston, TN; sons, Jeremy Swallows of Rickman, TN, Ryan Meadows of Livingston, TN, and Jason Meadows and wife Jamie of Jamestown, TN; grandchildren, Luke, Aden, and Matthew Ryglewski, Sway Swallows, Brittany Scantland, Taylor Brown, Roger Meadows, and Kara Meadows; great-grandchildren, Kenli Scott, and Noah Ovell Brown.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her infant sister, Shelia Ann Young.

Pallbearers to serve are Jeremy Swallows, Ryan Meadows, Jason Meadows, David Ryglewski, Mark Meadows, and Rod Meadows.

Honorary Pallbearers are Aden Ryglewski, Luke Ryglewski, Rafferty Cleary, David Sadler, Frank Bruton, and Matthew Ryglewski.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Coffee Cemetery Fund at Union Bank and Trust.
