Mr. Carson Reagan, age 86, of Livingston, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, March 9, 2025, at the Overton County Health and Rehab in Livingston. He was born on July 23, 1938, in the McDonald Chapel Community of Overton County, Tennessee, to the late Joel Partman Reagan and Maggie Lee Newberry Reagan.
Carson was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who touched the lives of everyone around him with his kindness, humor, and love. He worked for 47 years at Builder Supplies Corporation in Algood, Tennessee, and was known for his strong work ethic and unwavering dedication. Carson had a passion for life and found joy in the simple pleasures, whether it was fishing, squirrel hunting, or driving his Ford truck around town. He had a knack for making people laugh and was famous for giving everyone a nickname.
A lifelong member of the McDonald Chapel Church, Carson loved the Lord with all his heart and was there every time the doors were open. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, providing him with strength, peace, and purpose. He cherished his time at church, and his devotion to God was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Carson leaves behind his beloved wife, Mary Sue Buck Reagan; his son, Chris Reagan of Livingston; his grandchildren, Marissa Earley and husband Joe, and Elijah Joel Reagan; and his great-grandchildren, Cayden, Austen, Hunter, Harper, and Hallie. He was preceded in death by his son, Joel Carson Reagan; his sister, Mary Phyllis Flowers; his brother, Carlos Reagan; and his step-siblings, Bethel Copeland, Paris Copeland, Clarice Robbins, and Clara Beaty.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at the McDonald Chapel Church, 508 East Port Dock Road, Monroe, Tennessee. Bro. Eddie Manis will officiate the service, with burial to follow at the Smith Cemetery, where Military Honors will be presented by the Cookeville Veterans Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will include Elijah Joel Reagan, Joe Earley, Sam Tucker, Dan Tucker, Jason Flowers, and Billy Joe Johnson.
Carson's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, laughter, faith, and devotion to the Lord will forever be cherished.
