Speck Funeral Home - Catherine Bowers Obituary

Funeral Services for Mrs. Catherine Marie Nation Bowers, age 83, of Cookeville will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, September 18, 2021 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.  Burial to follow in the Fellowship Cemetery.  The family will welcome friends on Friday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Catherine passed from this life on Tuesday afternoon, September 14, 2021 from the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.  She was born in Overton County, Tennessee to the late Willie T. and Delma V. Richardson Nation.  A 1956 graduate of Livingston Academy, Catherine was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.  She worked for many years as the house manager for the Pacesetters Corp.  Catherine enjoyed canning, quilting, sewing, gardening, and listening to Blue Grass.  Her greatest joy in life was her family.

Catherine leaves behind her daughter, Wanda Gail Pippin and husband Raymond of Algood, TN; brother, Robert "Bob" Nation and wife Peggy of Lubbock, TX; sister, Connie Dishman and husband James of Livingston, TN.

In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Aaron Bowers; brothers, Carlie, Coy, and Charlie Nation; sister, Alene Richardson.
