Mr. Charles Langford passed from this life on Tuesday afternoon, April 30, 2024, from the comforts of his home.  He was born in Cookeville, Tennessee on August 21, 1941, to the late Will Herman and Edwina Clark Langford. They resided in Clay County throughout his childhood. Charles had a lot of fond memories of the time spent as a child on the family farm. Charles loved to fish and ride horses, when children, grandchildren and great grand children came along, he loved teaching and guiding them to master these hobbies. He spent many hours with the children. Family was always the most important thing to him. Charles enjoyed sporting events for all the children and rarely missed a game. Charles was a loyal friend and companion to many in our community. Charles met his wife at 4-H camp in Crossville, and they've been together 64 years. After marriage he worked in the family car dealership. Several years later Charles decided to go back to the family farm again. In later years, he started a small company that built modular offices. Charles was active in several community organizations throughout his life. He was a member and active participate of Shiloh Church. He often helped some of the members with their needs that they were no longer able to do. Charles will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Charles leaves behind his wife, Frances Carol Smith Langford of Livingston, TN; daughter, Mechelle Langford of Cookeville, TN; son Michael Langford and wife Tina of Monroe, TN; grandchildren, Nicole Thomas and husband Brandon, Danielle Srock and husband Jordan, Matthew Thrasher and wife Jade, Colby Langford and wife Kaitie, Colin Langford and wife Leslie, and Cori Ann Langford; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Frances Tieman and husband Lenny of Arlington, TX
