Funeral Services for Mrs. Cheri White McConnell, age 66, of Old Hickory, Tennessee, and formerly of Livingston, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. David Hill will officiate, with burial to follow in Good Hope Cemetery.

The family will welcome friends on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., and again on Thursday from 12:00 noon until the time of service, as they gather to share stories, laughter, and cherished memories.

Cheri passed from this life on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Old Hickory, Tennessee, leaving behind a lifetime of love, friendship, and bright memories.

Born on September 19, 1959, at Lady Ann Hospital in Livingston, Tennessee, to the late Beeland E. and Julia Elise Hill White, Cheri grew up with a joyful spirit that stayed with her throughout her life.

A proud 1977 graduate of Livingston Academy and a 1981 graduate of Tennessee Tech, Cheri built a successful career as a financial analyst in Nashville. Yet, her greatest accomplishments were the relationships she built and the joy she brought to others.

Cheri truly never met a stranger—only friends she hadn’t talked to yet. She had a gift for conversation and could brighten anyone’s day with a simple phone call. Her laughter, her stories, and her genuine interest in others made people feel seen and loved.

She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—working in her yard, tending her flowers, cheering on her beloved Vanderbilt basketball and football teams, and especially traveling to comic cons with her son, moments that brought her so much excitement and treasured memories. Cheri was also a faithful attendee of Mt. Juliet Church of Christ, where her kind spirit and warm presence were a blessing to many.

She leaves behind her loving son, Sean McConnell of Old Hickory, Tennessee; her sister, Vicki Stevens and husband Jody of Livingston, Tennessee; her nephew, Brad Stevens and wife Kristy of Cookeville, Tennessee; her great-nieces, Isabella Burr and husband Brooks of Cookeville, Tennessee, and Kailyn and Ariana Stevens, all of Cookeville; along with many cousins and dear friends who will forever carry her laughter in their hearts.

She is now reunited with her parents and her nephew, Lance Stevens.

Pallbearers serving will be Jody Stevens, Brad Stevens, Kelly Hill, Joey Hill, Mark Hill, and Tony Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be all of her beloved cousins.

Though she will be deeply missed, Cheri’s life is a beautiful reminder to smile often, talk a little longer, and love people well. Her joy lives on in every memory shared and every heart she touched.
