Graveside Memorial Services for Mrs. Clara Inez Ledbetter Hunter, age 96, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, December 11, 2022, from the Hunter Cove Cemetery. Bro. James Williams will officiate. The family will welcome friends at the graveside.
Mrs. Hunter passed from this life on Friday afternoon, November 11, 2022, from the comfort of her home. She was born at home in Allons, Tennessee, on January 16, 1926, to the late Joe and Hauta Holman Ledbetter. A member of the Allons Baptist Church, Clara loved being on the farm growing vegetables and flowers where she truly had a green thumb. Her greatest joy was cooking and being with her family.
Clara leaves behind her daughters, Loleta Savage of Anderson, IN, and Bettye Poston Towery and husband Jim of Livingston, TN; son, Billy Hunter and wife Barbara of Rickman, TN; 10 grandchildren and numerus great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Bobbie Thurman of Allons, TN; and special caregivers Linda Bilbrey, and Donna Parham.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Hunter; sisters, O.V. Apolis, and Wanda Thurman; brothers, James Ledbetter, and Coy Ledbetter.
