Funeral Services for Mrs. Darlene Ward Pennington, age 63, of Hilham will be conducted 2 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2024, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.  Bro. Kenny Westmoreland will officiate.  Burial to follow in the Maxwell Chapel Cemetery.  The family will welcome friends on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of services. 

Memorial Donations may be made to the family to help assist with funeral expenses. 

Mrs. Darlene passed from the comforts of her home on Monday, June 10, 2024.  She was born in Livingston, Tennessee on August 27, 1960, to the late Robert Allen and Clara Esther Danner Ward.   Darlene loved her family and family reunions.  She also enjoyed crocheting, yard work and going to yard sales.  

Darlene leaves behind her daughter, Christina Fisher and husband Billy of Celina, TN; granddaughters MayKayla Reeder Andrews of Hilham, TN, and Bridgette Fisher of Glasgow, KY; brothers, James Ward and wife Debbie of Hilham, TN, Jerry Ward and wife Sharon of Dodson Branch, TN, and Jack Ward and wife Joyce of Hilham, TN; sisters, Linda Sells of Cookeville, TN, Kathy Fry and husband Jack of Nashville, TN, Maxine Dooley and husband Ray of St. Albans, WV Deborah Bilbrey and husband Danny of Livingston, TN, and Vickie Deck and husband Roger of Cookeville, TN. a host of nieces and nephews and her little dog "Boston"

In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Pennington; infant brother, William Allen Ward; sister, Bonnie Strong; and best friend Gary Hollars.
