Speck Funeral Home - Dimple Sue Ledbetter Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Dimple Sue Ledbetter, age 86, of Livingston, will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.
Bro. Darrek Copeland will officiate. Burial will follow in the Ledbetter Cemetery.
The family will welcome friends on Tuesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home.


Mrs. Dimple Sue Ledbetter went peacefully home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from her home.


She was born July 18, 1939, at home in the Crawford Community of Overton County, Tennessee, to the late R.H. and Erna Handy Ledbetter. She was a 1957 graduate of Livingston Academy, where she ranked in the top ten of her graduating class. Dimple was a devoted member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Livingston.


She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Dimple loved growing flowers of all kinds. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends and was well known for her delicious dishes prepared for homecomings and family gatherings. Dimple also enjoyed working alongside her friends and neighbors at Berkline, where she took great pride in her work and dedication to the company.


She leaves behind her loving children: Deborah Looper and husband Freddie, Steven Ted Ledbetter, and Donna Kay Terry and husband Brian, all of Overton County, Tennessee.


She is also survived by her grandchildren: Shelly Dishman and husband Tommy, Chastity Hammock and husband Dusty, Andy Ledbetter and wife Tiffany, Julie Beaty and husband Ryan, Mandy Looper and husband Jody, Casey York and husband BJ, Mary Heather Ashburn and husband Jordan, Mitch Maynord and wife Rachel, Lucas Ledbetter and wife Hannah, April Jestes, and Greg Deweese; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.


Additional survivors include her brother, Leo Ledbetter; and sisters, Janet Fern Poston and husband Aaron, and Pamela Teresa Harris and husband Gary.


In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ledbetter was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 62 years, Ted Ledbetter; her brother, J.M. Ledbetter; and sisters, Anna Frances Carr and Phyliss June Norrod.


Pallbearers: Lucas Ledbetter, Dakota Hammock, Steven Ledbetter, Freddie Looper, Mitchell Maynord, and Brian Terry.
